Sorry this hasn't been updated in a few days!  We finished the novel on Monday and discussed the end.  Tuesday, we reviewed literary terms (completed a study guide of terms) and reviewed for the test.  Wednesday, we took the test over TKAM, and had some computer lab time for those students who need to work on their final essays. Final essays plus ALL drafts and peer editing sheets are due on FRIDAY, May 1st!  Make sure you are studying for the final vocabulary quiz, too, which is Monday, May 4th!

We have read through chapter 26.  Finish chapter 27 for homework by Friday.  Wednesday, we took chapter 16-17 vocab quiz.  We wrote down 4 quotes from chapters 21-22 in our quote log (handed in) and also 4 quotes from 24-25 (handed in).  2nd draft of essays are due on Friday, typed and printed...make sure they are ready to hand in or they are late!

We wrote a spring break journal, we discussed "5 things" about chapters 13-15.  We began reading chapter 16, finding vocab words from the chapter as a class.  Finish 16 for homework.  4th hour, also finish the figurative language excercise.

You have a 20 page essay due.  JUST FOOLING!

Today we read and shared SSR books.  We completed a grammar activity over simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex sentences.  (we reviewed formulas and went over answers.)  We then began reading chapter 12 in TKAM.  Finish reading 12 for homework and don't forget about the vocab quiz tomorrow!

SPRING BREAK WORK:  if you are leaving early, your assignment for break is to read chapters 13-15 and write down "5 things" about each chapter (facts, what happens, connections, etc.)

Copied down new vocab words in vocab log (chp. 12-13): Habiliments, qualms, shinny.  There will be a vocab quiz over words from chp. 9-13 on THURSDAY!  Be sure to study up and use the "motions" technique if that helped you.  We viewed the video, "TKAM in context" and charted the facts we learned and the reactions we had to the film.  We then began chapter 11. Finish 11 for homework.
